Gavin Hodson was born and raised in Dublin, where his passion for music began at an early age as a member of the Artane School of Music.

Gav has played in some of Dublin’s most well known venues such as the 3Arena, the Olympia Theatre and the National Concert Hall as a solo artist and alongside a number of bands. Gav’s musical career has also brought him across Europe performing in England, Scotland, France and Austria. When not playing with TNBK, Gav can be found performing in nightclubs and bars across the country.

  • Trumpet

A classically trained freelance trumpeter from Dublin, began his career in The Artane School of Music at the age of eight.

Kevin performs a wide and varied array of music with many different bands, collectives and artists such as Villagers, Ham Sandwich, The Eskies, Attention Bébé and Bricknasty while also, throughout his career, having performed session work for Kodaline, Lisa Hannigan, Martha Reeves and Tony Allen to name a few.

Kev’s own style of boisterous tone mixed with subtle dynamic and melodic understanding makes him a much sought-after musician in Dublin today.

Kevin can play ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion on the Tin Whistle.

  • Tenor Sax

Mason “No Chart” McMillen, the semi self taught saxophonist, is on tenor sax duties for TNBK.

Moving to Ireland from Florida at a young age, Mason’s musical journey started out as a hobby only to eventually embrace his career as a performer. His natural approach to music is improvisational and often chaotic, always striving to find different ways to play any given idea.

Finding his musical feet playing ska music with The Bionic Rats and Interskalactic, Mason collaborates with a wide range of artists and genres. Currently involved with hip-hop/neo-soul artists such as Nealo and Uly, new indie punk act Skinner, festival favourite Attentione Bébé, and many more.

Mason’s Tom Waits impression is pretty spot on, though few have witnessed this.

  • Trombone

Adam Kenny started his musical career in the Artane School of Music at the young age of 9

He’s gone from strength to strength over the years playing with many ensembles, bands, and artists. Some examples being the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Lisa Hannigan, Orla Gartland, Jeff Rosenstock, and has featured on The Late Late Show on multiple occasions.

Adams mix of early classical training and on the job experience in numerous genres has lead him to create his own individual and brash style.

Some say Adam can now hold the trombone higher than anyone in the world.

  • Sousaphone

Conall Mooney, a renowned musician and alumnus of the Artane School of Music, is no stranger to musical knowledge. He is an experienced multi-instrumentalist, having honed his craft as a tuba/sousaphone, trombone and bass guitar player for over 20 years.

He has had a multifaceted career to date, and is no stranger to gigging with multiple bands and groups at venues, festivals, and weddings across the country.

Primarily playing the sousaphone and tuba of late, with the Defence Forces Band and The New Brass Kings, Conall has accrued a wealth of knowledge and experience, and is eager to perform to a crowd. His passion, exuberance, and sedulous ethic can seldom be translated on his face, in which case, you can refer to him as ‘Bass-Face’.
